An elf at home..

I recently "recruited" an elf... he's just too adorable that I had to involve him in most of the things that I do at home..

He helps me when I bake...

He helps the gardener and he looks a little "dissatisfied"...

He sweeps the floor...

Of course.. he gets "paid"..
A little treat (Vitagen) before he starts sweeping the floor...

And he's allowed to mess up...
-_-"

To be honest, I had to babysit and do all of the above at the same. No choice but to involve him. I guess he can start young? :D

The Durian Season

It use to be only a couple of times a year but it seems like the durian season is around.. almost all the time.. (only some months, you can't find durian.)

Since it's the "Durian Season" now.. someone asked me if I could bake a durian cake/cupcakes and my mum went.. "BAKE A DURIAN CAKE!" after seeing so many durian stalls.

And so.. I obliged since I don't mind Durian.. :D

Baked cupcakes instead cos it's a lot easier to distribute.

Then I decided to cover it with Chocolate Ganache since I do have them in my fridge.;P

And you can see.. how sinful it is... muahaha!!

And just when you thought.. chocolate + durian cupcake = yummm yummmmm

I had extra cream cheese from something I baked yesterday and I added it on top of some of the extra durian cupcakes that I had in the fridge...

Cream Cheese + Durian Cupcake = Superbly Yummmmyyyy!!

Itching to get your hands on some Durian now? ;P

1.5years old

We can FINALLY tell people that James is 1.5years old. We have been saying 13months, 14months, 15months, 16months, 17months when people asked how old he is.

At 1.5years old, James still sleeps by 8pm and wakes up at 7am, still wakes up once or twice for milk in the middle of the night (I would REALLY love to break this habit), understands us quite well, expanded his vocabulary AND he's still as adorable as ever.(Oh.. of course, a lot naughtier and really quick in learning new things, must be all that DHA in his milk powder and Scotts Emulsion. *faint*)

Here are photos to show you how adorable he still is (although he has lost his chubby cheeks)...
Playing with the unfolded clothes is one of his many hobbies at home.
Think he's trying to "scare" us.. but of course he only made us laugh.

He LOVES the playground. If it's raining, my mum would bring him to Mc Donald's playground or the Kidz Sports & Gym Playland.

He LOVES to pose for pictures.

He reads the Bible before he sleeps and when he's awake in the morning.
I do hope that he is this happy reading the Bible when he gets older.

"WHAT? I'm not cute enough?"

"YOU MUST BE KIDDING!"

 I'm truly blessed. :D

Father's Day

Father's Day is just around the corner and I know Dads are usually the ones who go "NAHHH, don't need a present."

Well, I know my late father goes "It's just another day." (He says that even for his birthday.-_-")

If you can't think of anything to give your dad to show your appreciation, how about a cake?

or cupcakes?

.....to show your appreciation and to make Father's Day a little less "just another day".

And especially if you are one of those people who "needs a reason to have cake".. this will be a good "reason" to get a cake! :D

Food for thought! ;D
