We shared plenty of laughter today. Just making silly jokes while working. We try to make our work place fun. So that even though we are buried with work, we know how to enjoy the work load. We do have our serious & not-so-fun moments daily. Life is not perfect so how can work be?
Our department came up with this to enhance our office environment.
Little notes of compliments will actually brighten up our day.
We get all excited to see new notes pasted on the wall and sometimes it catches us by surprise. Even though, we do say "Thank you" whenever we help each other but we don't know that the little things that we do actually meant a lot to our colleague. With this little notes, we know that our efforts were very much appreciated.
Here's something for bosses to think about especially at times like this, you can't reward your subordinates with big bonuses & increment. You will just have to recognize their effort. All we need is an acknowledgement of the little things that we have done throughout the day. It will make us a more loyal employee.
And also add in some fun into your department. Lighten up, it will make your employees want to work harder for you because they are looking forward to go to the office every day. Not to have fun but to work in a fun environment.
This is what we do with our mini breaks! :)
We were actually snapping a serious photo for our department website and decided to snap a casual one too. :P Silly? but it's fun! Only takes a minute to inject fun into our system. :)
We have a colourful head!
Our colleagues from another department showed us these Nepalese hats. We couldn't resist snapping a quick photo with it. Yup, we had to throw in the silly faces too. :)
I personally feel that I'm more productive working in a fun environment. At least, I don't waste time sulking over the amount of work that I have.:)
Note: In case this post gives you the idea that we are very "free" in our daily job, please get that idea out of your head. We do have tonnes piled up on our desk every day. However, we make sure that our environment at work is not as heavy as the work load. :)
